Background Information:

The System's Extended Contract Program Proposal for the 2013 – 2014 school year is attached. The program must have Board approval annually. The total amount allocated to our System by the State for the 2013 – 2014 school year is $31,400, which is a 25% decrease based on the amount allocated for the 2012 – 2013 school year. All activities within the proposal represent the most effective and efficient use of our extended contract resources in meeting the highest priority needs of our students. Activities funded with extended contract funds include, but are not limited to, remediation, intervention, and tutoring.

Staff Recommendation:

I recommend approval of the Extended Contract Program Proposal for the 2013 – 2014 school year.
